Division Manager, Transmission & Distribution

About the role

Fyfe, an Australian integrated engineering, environment, planning and survey firm with 700+ staff, is growing its Transmission & Distribution capability across Australia and is looking for an experienced industry leader. Reporting to the General Manager - Energy, you will lead the T&D capability, which includes four specialist teams: Primary & Earthing, Secondary & Protection, Civil & Structural and Digital Engineering. The role is more than team management: you will influence major projects, key clients and the business's direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical and strategic direction of Fyfe's Transmission & Distribution capability.
• Build and develop teams, with responsibility for capability, succession and resourcing.
• Influence major project outcomes, providing senior technical, commercial and delivery oversight.
• Strengthen key client relationships and support major opportunities across Power Networks, Renewable Energy, Data Centers and Contractors.
• Shape sustainable growth by balancing pipeline, utilisation, project performance and capability development.

Required profile

• A relevant Engineering degree.
• Strong experience in the Australian Transmission & Distribution sector and the credibility to lead experienced engineers and senior client relationships.
• Consulting experience across T&D, power networks, HV substations and transmission lines.
• Proven leadership of technical teams or senior engineering professionals.
• Experience across complex multidisciplinary project delivery.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Australian standards and industry requirements.
• Commercial awareness across resourcing, utilisation, margin and risk.
