Dispense Technician - Compounding Pharmacy

About the role

Tugun Compounding Pharmacy is hiring a full-time, on-site Dispense Technician in Gold Coast, QLD. The role prepares and dispenses compounded medications according to prescriptions and established protocols, working closely with pharmacists and colleagues to ensure quality control, timely processing and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense compounded medications in line with prescriptions and protocols
• Collaborate with pharmacists and team members on quality control and prescription processing
• Provide clear, professional communication to colleagues and support a high level of customer service

Required profile

• Experience as a pharmacy technician, including dispensing, prescription handling and workflow support
• Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy or similar healthcare environment is an advantage
• Formal training or certification in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences is highly regarded
• High attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work full time on site, manage time efficiently and adapt to changing priorities

Required skills

• Strong foundation in compounding and pharmacy practice, following precise formulations and protocols
• Effective communication with pharmacists, colleagues and clients
• Preferred: laboratory skills such as accurate measuring, handling of chemicals, equipment operation and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards

The position runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with an immediate start for the right candidate.
