Director Teacher - Kindergarten

About the role

Campbelltown Kindergarten (C&K) St. Catherine's Community Kindergarten in Wishart, Queensland, is looking for a Director Teacher. It is a 22-place service supporting two groups of children aged 3.5 to 5 years, with a balanced program combining structured play and freedom of choice. The centre runs during school terms and is closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil-free days. The position starts term 1 on 18 January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the kindergarten as Director Teacher, guiding children's early learning and development in a nurturing, play-based environment.
• Work alongside experienced educators in a collaborative team that prioritises children's learning and educator wellbeing.

Required profile

• Bachelor in Early Childhood (or ACECQA recognised ECT equivalent).
• Previous experience in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of the NQF, EYLF and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
• First Aid, CPR and asthma and anaphylaxis certification.
• Valid Blue Card and current police check; current Foundation of Child Safety Training certificate (Geccko).
• Team-player mindset and a passion for high-quality outcomes for children, families and the community.

What we offer

• Permanent part-time, 5 days a fortnight (Monday, Tuesday and every alternative Wednesday), 37.5 hours, with an hourly pay rate of $43.41-$59.87 plus director's allowance and superannuation.
