Director - People and Culture

About the role

Betashares is seeking a Director of People and Culture to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its HR function. You will partner with the Head of People & Culture to shape strategy, drive performance, and ensure a consistent, high‑quality employee experience as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the People & Culture function across operations, performance, policy, engagement, reporting and development.
• Partner with people managers to deliver initiatives on performance, role clarity, feedback and ways of working.
• Leverage AI and automation to simplify workflows, build self‑serve tools and improve speed and consistency.
• Oversee the performance and development process, including manager enablement, communications and continuous improvement.
• Maintain practical, up‑to‑date policies and tighten lifecycle processes and documentation.
• Elevate internal communications with clear toolkits, updates and key messages.
• Foster collaboration by improving rituals, ownership clarity and decision‑making processes.
• Lead, coach and develop the P&C Manager.

Required profile

• 6‑10+ years in senior People & Culture roles with depth across performance, operations, employee lifecycle and development.
• Experience in a scaling environment, demonstrating strong judgment and the ability to advise senior colleagues.
• Proven track record of building trust quickly, being detail‑oriented and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
• Ability to lead day‑to‑day activities while supporting continuous personal and team growth.
