Director, Operations

About the role

NRMA Parks & Resorts, part of the NRMA Group, offers accommodation ranging from campsites to luxury resorts across more than 50 destinations in Australia. As Director, Operations, you will lead across regions and influence at scale, providing senior leadership to regional Operations Managers. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and based from the Gold Coast/Coolangatta office, the role takes a portfolio-wide view of commercial performance, guest experience, people, safety, risk and operational delivery, with regular travel across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Empower regional Operations Managers to deliver by bringing together people, commercial performance and operational excellence.
• Set direction, strengthen performance and build capability across the portfolio.
• Take a portfolio-wide view of commercial performance, guest experience, people, safety, risk and operational delivery.
• Strengthen accountability, translate strategy into results and remove barriers to great performance.

Required profile

• Substantial senior leadership experience across complex, multi-site operations, ideally in tourism, hospitality, accommodation or another service-led environment.
• Proven accountability for budgets, forecasting, labour, margin and profitability.
• Able to balance big-picture thinking with operational reality, with a calm, credible and people-focused leadership style.
