Director of FP&A – Sydney CBD

About the role

A high-growth business is recruiting a Director of FP&A through an internal promotion, via a recruitment partner. The role reports directly to the CFO and takes ownership of the FP&A function, leading financial planning and forecasting and helping shape the organisation's commercial strategy. The business is growing significantly in revenue, headcount and operations. The position is based in Sydney CBD with four days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead the annual financial planning and budgeting process
• Take full ownership of financial forecasting and performance reporting
• Manage and maintain the organisation's financial model
• Lead FP&A activities and provide financial insights and analysis
• Business partner with senior stakeholders across Operations, Sales and other functions
• Prepare and present investor presentations and financial updates
• Support corporate finance activities and strategic business initiatives
• Use financial analysis to identify opportunities, influence decision-making and drive business performance

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification with a strong technical foundation
• Experience at Senior FP&A Manager level, ready to move into a Director position
• Previous Big 4 accounting background highly regarded
• Experience in a smaller, growing business preferred
• Proven ability to business partner with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
• Outgoing, resilient and hands-on, able to challenge and influence senior leaders
