Director Level Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its NSW Water Infrastructure team in a director-level role, based in either the Sydney or Newcastle office. You will work alongside a group of specialists and act as a trusted partner to clients across the water sector in Australia, helping them co-create solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients and manage relationships with consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Deliver complex projects and programs that meet client expectations, timelines and specifications.
• Manage change, quality, health, safety and risk elements.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full life cycle, including design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling and risk management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of specialists.

Required profile

• A strong foundation in project management and a genuine interest in projects with real-world impact.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• Ideally, experience in the water and wastewater industry.
• Proven client-side experience across multiple sectors, managing stakeholders and priorities in complex environments.
• Experience in consulting, construction or professional services is highly regarded.
