Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

Join AECOM’s Newcastle office as a Senior Civil Engineer, working on transport infrastructure projects that shape the future of Australia and New Zealand. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver multi‑disciplinary projects, supporting project management and client coordination.
• Design earthworks, minor pavements, stormwater, highways, roads, and utilities.
• Attend site visits and work closely with construction contractors.
• Ensure compliance with quality, budget and schedule requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in a multi‑disciplinary civil engineering design environment, covering highways to renewable projects.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, timelines and small teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Civil engineering design of earthworks, drainage, surface water management and utilities.
• Project budgeting and timeline management.
• Site inspection and coordination with construction contractors.
