Director – Improvement Stream (Queensland Planning)

About the role

This senior leadership position offers an experienced strategist the chance to shape reforms within Queensland's planning framework. Based in Brisbane, the Director will guide a high‑performing team to deliver impactful outcomes for communities across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an empowered, engaged team aligned with the Planning Group’s vision and values.
• Oversee and adapt a diverse program of initiatives in response to shifting government priorities.
• Drive critical thinking and rigorous analysis to ensure timely, effective project delivery.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships across all business areas and with external stakeholders, including LGAQ and peak bodies.
• Synthesize complex technical analysis into clear, actionable advice for executive decision‑making.
• Foster a safe, inclusive workplace that promotes wellbeing, continuous improvement, and innovation.
