About the role
JLL is seeking a Director, Head of Government Projects to take full strategic and operational ownership of a dedicated project delivery team serving two of its key government accounts. - Act as principal advisor to key government clients and partner with internal Account Directors, leading critical negotiations and resolving complex issues.
- Own the programme's financials, including multi-year capital plans, budget management and driving profitability and growth.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing projects team, building technical expertise and a culture of accountability, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Implement and oversee project delivery, quality control and risk management frameworks, ensuring safety, compliance and excellence.
Required profile
- Director-level professional with a proven track record leading large-scale project portfolios, combining technical knowledge (construction, engineering or commercial real estate) with commercial acumen and leadership.
- Minimum of 10 years in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Experience managing major government or public sector accounts.
- Experience managing projects in remote locations is essential.
- Australian citizen or permanent resident only, due to security clearance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Construction Management); PMP or PRINCE2 certification highly regarded.
Required skills
- Financial management and capital works budget management.
- Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management with senior clients and contractors.
- Team leadership and mentoring.
What we offer
- Employee discounts on fitness, wellbeing and other products.
- 18 weeks paid maternity leave.
- Private health insurance discounts.
- Active social club and employee assistance program.
- Novated lease for EV cars.
- Paid time off for volunteer work.
- Career opportunities within Australia's largest commercial real estate firm and premium offices.
The position is on-site in Perth, WA. Candidates are invited to apply via the JLL careers site, quoting job reference number REQ542961, even if they do not meet every requirement.
