Director Education Planning & Performance

About the role

TAFE NSW is recruiting a Director Education Planning & Performance (PSSE Band 1) to provide strategic leadership for state-wide education planning, performance monitoring and delivery readiness. The position leads a team of approximately five managers and works closely with teaching and learning faculties, People Group, Finance and other stakeholders to align workforce, financial and operational requirements with government and organisational priorities. Location is negotiable across NSW, subject to campus availability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning frameworks, governance processes and performance measures that support education delivery across face-to-face, online and Mobile Training Unit models.
• Partner with teaching and learning faculties, People Group, Finance and other key stakeholders to develop integrated plans for effective educational delivery.
• Provide trusted advice to senior leaders, influence decision-making and ensure planning and performance activities support student and community outcomes across NSW.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading strategic planning, performance, operational readiness and business improvement functions in large, complex organisations.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a track record of building partnerships across diverse groups.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, performance measures and reporting mechanisms that drive accountability.
• Previous senior leadership role in a large educational organisation.
• Adaptable leader who thrives in complex environments and embraces change.
