Director, Customer Credit

About the role

In this senior position you will be a key part of Judo’s Credit Risk function, delivering rigorous credit assessment and decision‑making to support business lending for Australian SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thoughtful and rigorous credit assessment and decision making for business lending activities.
• Coach and uplift Director Relationships and Analysts to strengthen credit risk capability across the team.
• Monitor economic trends and understand how market shifts impact Australian businesses.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in policies, processes and systems to enhance Judo’s proposition.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit decisioning of business lending transactions in regional commercial banking.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to balance risk and relationship work.
• Previous experience in a relationship role such as Analyst or Relationship Manager/Director.
• Strong business acumen and clear credit writing skills.

Required skills

• Ability to think independently about finance needs and structure solutions without rigid policy constraints.
