Digital Editor for Australian Institute of Company Directors

About the role

Step into a high‑impact editorial position and shape the digital narrative for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). You will work closely with the Editorial Director to lead the digital ecosystem across web, social, email and audio, delivering content that aligns with client objectives and brand voice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, commissioning, writing and editing of digital, social and email content for the AICD audience.
• Optimise digital content on LinkedIn and other social platforms to drive performance and audience growth.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to pitch ideas, gather requirements and ensure strategic alignment.
• Champion best practices in digital, social, video and audio, mentoring team members and optimising content for search (SEO/AEO).
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports, turning data into actionable editorial insights.
• Brief and project‑manage multimedia and dynamic digital features.

Required profile

• 7+ years of senior digital or social experience, preferably with a business or finance brand.
• Analytical creative able to translate data into actionable insights.
• Agile, autonomous self‑starter comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strategic thinker with deep understanding of search versus social and modern SEO/AEO.
• Versatile “doer” comfortable interviewing talent, shooting lo‑fi video or briefing professional editors.
