Digital Channels Assurance Specialist (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Digital Channels Assurance Specialist provides independent first‑line assurance for Digital Trust, Identity, Verification, Authentication and Onboarding initiatives across ANZ. The role focuses on risk advisory, control design and emerging risk identification for the Digital Trust, Identity and Onboarding (DTIO) value stream.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality assurance and challenge across Digital Trust, Identity, Verification, Authentication and Onboarding initiatives.
• Review change programmes (e.g., Single Customer Front End) and ensure governance, risk assessment and control requirements are met.
• Assess control design, identify gaps, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Provide evidence‑based findings, recommendations and practical insights.
• Monitor issue remediation and support improvements to customer, regulatory and security outcomes.
• Engage early with business and technology propositions to provide preliminary risk views.
• Build and lead trusted relationships across Digital, Technology, Risk and Compliance teams.

Required profile

• Experience in operational risk, assurance or compliance within banking or financial services.
• Expertise in Digital Channels, Identity, Authentication or Onboarding capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of APRA, ASIC, Privacy, CDR (Open Banking), AML/CTF and customer protection obligations.
