Dietitian - Home Care and NDIS Clients

About the role

Inspire Healthcare is a community-based organisation providing mobile services across Melbourne and Sydney to clients on the home care package, NDIS participants and private clients. It is looking for a qualified Dietitian to join its Melbourne team on a contract or casual basis, delivering therapeutic nutrition interventions for people with disability and the elderly.

Key responsibilities

• Assess nutrition and dietary requirements for clients with a wide range of disabilities and impairments
• Support dietary needs for people with difficulty swallowing and chewing, bowel and intestinal issues and other complex co-morbidities
• Provide home enteral nutrition and nutritional therapy
• Develop individual, evidence-based treatment plans and goals aligned with each client's person-centred plan
• Communicate assessed needs clearly to the client and the funding organisation within agreed timeframes
• Liaise with families, specialist services and other stakeholders as appropriate
• Review client treatment plans regularly and develop programs and materials to help clients reach their health and lifestyle goals

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification
• Member of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) with Provisional or Full APD status
• Experience in the profession and evidence of clinical supervision and professional development as required by DAA
• Experience with NDIS preferred but not necessary
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Current VIC driver's licence, Working with Children Check and Police check
