Diagnostic Radiologist – Australia-wide Opportunities

About the role

Sonic Healthcare Australia Radiology is seeking qualified Diagnostic Radiologists to join its extensive network of over 125 centres nationwide. The role involves interpreting a wide range of imaging studies and delivering timely, accurate reports to support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret imaging modalities including X‑ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography, providing clear reports to referring clinicians.
• Review imaging requests, ensure appropriate protocols, and oversee imaging procedures in collaboration with technologists and administrative staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality‑assurance activities, and peer‑review processes.
• Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and radiation safety standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialist training in radiology (fellowship of RANZCR or equivalent eligibility).
• Current or eligible registration with the Medical Board of Australia and appropriate radiation licence for practice in Western Australia.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care, clinical accuracy, and timely reporting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary and cross‑site environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in interpreting X‑ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography studies.
• Experience with nuclear medicine imaging where applicable.
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS digital platforms and hybrid working arrangements.
• Ability to use secure digital systems for remote reporting.
