DevOps Engineer – Secure Cloud Infrastructure (12‑month contract)

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a critical cybersecurity initiative in a highly secure, mission‑focused environment. The role is a 12‑month contract based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Canberra and involves designing, deploying and managing secure cloud infrastructure while driving automation and continuous delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash and PowerShell.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, reliability and security through proactive logging, alerting and incident response.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud specialists and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and streamline delivery processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
• Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar technologies.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience operating container workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking, systems engineering, security principles and cloud service models.
• Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance or ability to meet eligibility requirements.
