DevOps Engineer – SAP Sovereign Cloud (Canberra/Melbourne)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our SAP Sovereign Cloud team, supporting SAP BTP/AI services across Canberra and Melbourne. The role focuses on building, automating, and operating cloud‑native platforms and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD or Concourse.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Manage container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, Gardener) and Helm chart deployments.
• Monitor and log cloud environments using Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Splunk, Elasticsearch and Logstash.
• Configure and secure cloud networking (AWS VPCs) and implement security best practices, including hardened containers and HashiCorp Vault.
• Support databases such as PostgreSQL and SAP HANA and contribute to SAP BTP product operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot, optimise performance and ensure reliable service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud delivery and operations, with at least 2 years in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Strong analytical and methodological skills, decision‑making ability and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication in written and spoken English and proven teamwork in cross‑functional environments.
