DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will be based in Newstead, QLD (or Paramatta, NSW) and will streamline the software development lifecycle for pipeline and application developers. You will oversee Git repositories, build intuitive deployment pipelines, and ensure cloud environments are secure, highly available and automated.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design and implement fully automated CI/CD pipelines, test plans and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
• Develop and maintain Azure cloud resources, including Databricks, VNet injection, Private Link and Azure Key Vault.
• Automate platform configuration (security, storage, networking) using Terraform and AzureRM providers.
• Monitor Databricks jobs and pipelines for reliability, performance and cost, and lead incident response.
• Collaborate within a high-performing Scrum team to deliver BAU activities and strategic roadmap milestones.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud infrastructure, with at least 2-3 years administering Databricks in production.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong security mindset and ability to work in a high-security environment.
