Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

Assurant is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to ensure the stability and efficient operation of end‑user computer systems across the organisation. You will be the primary contact for users, handling incidents, requests and contributing to technology research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone, chat, email and onsite support for Windows login, VPN, printing, Wi‑Fi/Ethernet, browsers, Microsoft 365 apps, OneDrive and mobile devices.
• Log, classify and prioritise incidents in ServiceNow, fulfill password resets, software installs and hardware setups.
• Manage endpoint tooling such as Intune, Zscaler and Active Directory, and coordinate with networking, security and collaboration teams.
• Support site moves, IT cabling, patch panels and equipment mounting in racks.
• Manage small‑to‑medium projects, vendor relationships and periodic IT processes within SLAs.

Required profile

• Degree or tertiary qualification in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Level 1/2 support, preferably in warehousing, transport or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and on‑premise/cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week on rotating shifts.
