About the role

Reynella East College is seeking a passionate Materials Technology teacher to deliver engaging design and technology programmes for Years 7‑12. The role involves teaching woodwork, metalwork and other material‑based subjects, with opportunities to contribute to senior pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum for Materials Technology, including woodwork, metalwork and related areas across Years 7‑12.
• Facilitate practical project work, design thinking activities and safe workshop practices.
• Integrate digital learning technologies to enhance student learning and assessment.
• Collaborate with the Technologies faculty to develop strong curriculum design and authentic learning experiences.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in practical technologies and a commitment to evidence‑informed practice.
• Ability to engage students of diverse abilities and interests, fostering creativity, problem‑solving and innovation.
• Willingness to maintain a positive, safe and supportive workshop culture.
