Design & Estimating Engineer - Foundation & Ground Engineering

About the role

Keller Australia, a geotechnical engineering contractor, is looking for an experienced Design & Estimating Engineer to join its Macquarie Park, NSW office. Working with the Design, Estimating and Project Delivery teams, the engineer provides technical support across the tendering, design and delivery phases of foundation and ground engineering projects, from concept through to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare concept and detailed designs for piling and foundation solutions
• Develop estimates, tender submissions and technical proposals
• Assess tender documentation and project specifications
• Produce and review engineering calculations and CAD drawings
• Liaise with clients, consultants and internal project teams
• Conduct site inspections, pile testing and provide technical support during construction
• Assist with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience in design and estimating within geotechnical, piling or foundation engineering
• Experience preparing engineering designs and cost estimates
• Willingness to split time between the office and project sites

Required skills

• Strong understanding of geotechnical and foundation systems
• Commercial awareness and understanding of contractual requirements
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
