Design Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a creative, detail‑driven Design Assistant to support our design team in delivering fresh, market‑leading products. You will work closely with senior designers, suppliers and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure designs move smoothly from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general design support and liaise with suppliers on product development, approvals and sample submissions.
• Attend fittings, assist with ongoing design processes and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Contribute to trend research, colour palettes, and trend boards.
• Support range board creation, fabric and trim sourcing, and maintain option plans.
• Prepare technical drawings, tech packs, and creative briefs using Adobe Illustrator and CAD.
• Monitor production issues, shortfalls and critical path milestones to minimise impact.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Design (degree or diploma) with at least 2 years experience in graphic design, surface pattern, illustration or a related retail environment.
• Strong eye for detail, creativity and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Competence with Microsoft Office Suite.
