Dental Assistant / Receptionist

About the role

Maven Dental Port Lincoln, part of Abano Healthcare, is looking for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join its team on a casual basis. It is a dual-role position: you will spend most of your time assisting chairside while also supporting reception when needed, within a close-knit team focused on a welcoming, professional patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain high infection control standards
• Sterilise instruments and ensure equipment is ready for use
• Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional experience
• Schedule appointments and manage the practice diary
• Process payments and maintain accurate patient records
• Answer phone, email and in-person enquiries
• Support the wider team wherever needed during the day

Required profile

• Previous dental assistant or receptionist experience (highly regarded)
• Positive, hardworking attitude and genuine care for patients
• Clear, friendly communication and a team-first approach
• Commitment to ongoing learning and development
• Valid SA Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Flexible availability to pick up shifts Monday to Friday
