Dental Assistant / Receptionist

About the role

Maven Dental Cairns North, a busy four-chair practice within the Abano Healthcare network, is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join its team on a permanent full-time basis. The role splits time between chairside assisting and reception duties.

Key responsibilities

• Support clinicians with a wide range of procedures, including surgical extractions, implant placements and Invisalign treatment
• Greet patients and manage appointment bookings
• Manage payments and maintain comprehensive patient records
• Complete general administrative tasks

Required profile

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or higher
• Substantial experience working on reception independently
• Good knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and infection control
• Strong communication, interpersonal and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities
• A calm, friendly approach with patients
