About the role

Monash University is seeking an outstanding academic and executive leader to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics and Head of Monash Business School. Reporting to the Provost, you will set the vision, direction and tone for the faculty, driving performance, culture and outcomes across education, research, engagement and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate a strategic vision for the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Business School.
• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the faculty’s strategy, ensuring alignment with the University’s overall strategic plan.
• Oversee the delivery of high‑quality teaching, research and community engagement programmes.
• Manage financial performance, resource allocation and revenue generation activities.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that attracts and retains top academic talent.

Required profile

• Proven senior academic leadership experience, preferably at a research‑intensive university.
• Demonstrated ability to shape and advance business and economics education and research.
• Strong track record of strategic planning, execution and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent reputation within the academic community and a record of scholarly achievement.
