Day Shift Plant Operator – Refinery

About the role

As a Day Shift Plant Operator in the refinery, you will join the Production – Finished Products team to safely and efficiently process critical metals. The role involves operating forklifts, bridge and gantry cranes, and performing manual tasks that turn raw material into finished metal products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and bridge/gantry cranes in accordance with licences and safety procedures.
• Manually handle material and equipment to support continuous metal production.
• Follow the refinery’s standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Participate in shift hand‑overs and maintain accurate production records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a refinery environment (highly desirable).
• Current, unrestricted right to work in Australia.
• Safety‑focused, team‑oriented mindset.
• Relevant tickets such as Working at Heights or Confined Spaces preferred.

Required skills

• Valid forklift (LF) licence.
• Valid bridge & gantry crane (CB) licence.
• Ability to operate heavy‑equipment safely.
• Knowledge of working at heights and confined‑space procedures.
