Data Scientist – AI Assurance (People Analytics)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist passionate about ethical AI and people analytics to join our global People Data and Insights team. This permanent position will focus on building AI Assurance capabilities while also contributing to traditional data science projects.

Key responsibilities

• Select robust modelling and statistical approaches, strengthening reproducibility, assurance and observability.
• Apply statistical and machine‑learning methods to identify key features and engineer data pipelines from source systems to predictive models.
• Drive the full lifecycle of data‑science products—from vision and discovery to delivery, adoption and continuous improvement.
• Communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to support informed decision‑making.
• Support the creation, implementation and education of AI governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Embed safety, ethics, cyber‑security and intellectual‑property considerations into ML/AI solution design and deployment.
• Assess AI deployments for risk, implement controls and advise on AI Assurance best practices.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
• Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related analytical field.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts, machine learning and generative AI, with experience taking projects from definition to delivery.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and detail‑orientation skills.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and concepts.
