About the role
The Business and Customer Services Directorate is seeking three permanent Training and Development Officers to design and deliver HRMIS payroll training for internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with payroll operations to enhance learning outcomes and support the Department of Education’s 75,000+ staff across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver online and face‑to‑face training on HRMIS payroll processing, reporting and industrial instrument compliance.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to identify trends, assess training needs and develop targeted learning resources.
- Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve training effectiveness.
- Report on training outcomes to inform future program development.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, including work instructions, process documentation and user guides for payroll staff.
Required profile
- Proven experience designing and delivering training programmes.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and HRMIS systems.
- Strong analytical skills to identify learning gaps and measure impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
