Data Engineer Consultant – Sydney

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer Consultant to join its Sydney team. The role focuses on enhancing and maintaining data ingestion, transformation and extraction pipelines that feed reporting and analytics on the Unified Data platform for a major telecom client.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance, optimise and maintain existing data pipelines and assets for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with Product Owner and Chapter Lead to translate quarterly priorities and OKRs into detailed technical requirements.
• Perform data wrangling, profiling and analysis on new and existing datasets using on‑premises and cloud‑native tools.
• Design and build new data assets tailored to downstream consumers such as Tableau dashboards and TM1 cubes.
• Document low‑level designs, source‑to‑column mappings, test cases and release plans.
• Schedule and monitor pipelines with Control‑M and Airflow, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Provide post‑production warranty support and update operational documentation.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional IT and business teams to ensure timely delivery.
