Data Analytics Consultant

About the role

Altis Consulting, an Australian-owned data and analytics consultancy with over 25 years of experience, is hiring a Consultant in Sydney. The role involves delivering technical client solutions under supervision while learning data and analytics platforms and building a foundation in cloud platforms, data warehouses, business intelligence and analytics design, tools, processes and implementation approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Work under routine direction and manage your own time and schedules according to deadlines
• Gather user and business requirements
• Assist in developing and implementing data pipelines and data stores
• Contribute actively to project delivery
• Data modelling and database design
• Design and develop reports, dashboards, data visualisations and insights
• Analyse data from multiple and varied sources
• Plan and run unit and system testing, support UAT and provide post-production support

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in an IT-related subject, or relevant work experience
• 1+ years of relevant industry experience in a client-facing role
• Demonstrable experience with databases and solution design and development
• Demonstrable experience building Business Intelligence, reporting and analytics solutions
• Experience with contemporary programming languages and tools, including SQL
