Cyber Threat Incident Response Specialist

About the role

Join Macquarie's global team protecting Banking and Financial Services from cyber threats. You will investigate and respond to advanced threats targeting Retail Banking, analyse attack trends and support the 24/7 Security Operations Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and remediate security incidents affecting retail banking services.
• Analyse emerging attack trends to improve proactive security measures.
• Coordinate incident response and remediation across cross‑functional teams.
• Participate in a rotational on‑call schedule for the SOC.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of security operations experience in large enterprises.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating incident response activities.
• Strong understanding of web application security and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience supporting phishing, fraud and account compromise investigations in retail banking.

Required skills

• OWASP Top 10 knowledge.
• Cloud security expertise in AWS and GCP.
• SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Google SecOps, Sumologic or CloudSIEM.
• Incident response and threat detection capabilities.
