Cyber Security Operations Lead

About the role

AC3 is an Australian-owned ICT managed service provider offering secure multi-cloud solutions to enterprise and government customers. As Cyber Security Operations Team Lead, you will lead and coordinate security operations within the Cyber Security Operations Centre, supporting the Professional Services team in delivering tangible business outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned SOC Analyst team and ensure effective delivery of SOC services.
• Manage vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, detection engineering and reporting, alongside other security activities and vendor solutions.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and manage on-call and operational rosters.
• Lead the technical response to security incidents and act as a technical escalation point within the SOC.
• Drive operational improvement initiatives and collaborate with the SOC Manager, SOC Lead, Engineering Lead and other teams across the practice.

Required profile

• Strong interest in cyber security and emerging technologies.
• Hands-on experience in security operations technologies, with a practical, technically focused approach to troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Good grasp of the technologies underpinning modern ICT environments.
• People leadership, organisational and communication skills, and strong problem-solving ability.

Required skills

• Experience with security operations platforms such as Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender and Splunk.
• Working knowledge of NIST frameworks.
