Cyber Security Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cyber Security Intern to join a fast‑growing startup through Staffline Solutions Australia. This remote internship offers hands‑on experience tackling real‑world security challenges and building a solid foundation in protecting digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts and incidents.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing.
• Research emerging cyber threats and trends.
• Help implement security best practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Document findings and prepare basic security reports.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and operating systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals such as firewalls, malware and phishing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
