Cyber Security Engineer – NextGen SIEM

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer specialized in next‑generation SIEM solutions to strengthen our Security Operations Centre. The role is based in Sydney with a hybrid work model, supporting both cloud and on‑prem environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance security monitoring, incident response, log management, and SIEM/SOC operations, focusing on next‑generation SIEM initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Manage identity and access management services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, RBAC, MFA, and Single Sign‑On.
• Deploy and support security tools such as CrowdStrike, AlgoSec, API security solutions, vulnerability management, email security, and certificate management.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash and maintain up‑to‑date security documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure business outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with next‑generation SIEM platforms and SOC environments.
• Eligible to work in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa holder).
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Sydney.
• Proven experience in cloud security for Azure and AWS.
