Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

As a Cyber Security Engineer at Police Bank, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the bank’s data, systems and networks from cyber threats. You will work with a broad portfolio of security technologies and collaborate closely with the cyber security team to detect, investigate and remediate incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance cyber security solutions across the bank.
• Generate concise vulnerability assessment reports and provide mitigation guidance.
• Monitor and analyse network traffic, system logs and security events using SIEM tools.
• Develop and write new detection rules to improve threat detection capabilities.
• Perform triage of security incidents, including suspicious or malicious emails.
• Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain security documentation and support security awareness training.
• Assist the Infrastructure team with firewalls, web security services, network identity services and related technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a cyber security engineer role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, MD102.
• Strong understanding of encryption, identity and access management, incident response and network security.
• Hands‑on experience with multiple security technologies and familiarity with NIST and PCI‑DSS frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Passion for cyber security and commitment to staying current with emerging threats.
