Cyber Security Architect

About the role

Evolution Mining, a gold producer operating six mines across Australia and Canada, is looking for a Cyber Security Architect based in its Sydney CBD Group Office. The role shapes the company's cyber security architecture across corporate IT and operational technology (OT) environments, reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Lead and working closely with the Group Manager Cyber Security. It involves engaging with operational sites and technology stakeholders across Australia and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the cyber security architecture framework.
• Define security standards, principles and design patterns for IT and OT environments.
• Embed security into solution design with architects, engineers and operational stakeholders.
• Assess security risks and ensure appropriate controls are built into technology initiatives.
• Support architecture governance and Architecture Review Board processes.
• Advise on cyber security strategy, threat management and technology risk.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security architecture, standards and practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to technology and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience designing and implementing secure IT and OT environments.
• Understanding of cyber security architecture, risk management and governance.
• Experience assessing risks and embedding security controls into technology solutions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and operational environments.
• Experience with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams and business leaders.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
• Relevant qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Cyber security architecture, risk management and governance.
• GICSP, IEC62443 or equivalent OT/industrial cyber security certifications highly desirable.
• TOGAF and/or SABSA credentials well regarded.
