Cyber Security Advisor

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Advisor to protect client digital environments across Australia. You will identify cyber risks, ensure compliance with local regulations, and lead incident response efforts while supporting the development of robust security strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Australian regulations such as the Privacy Act, ASD Essential 8, and ISO 27001.
• Manage third‑party security risks and support internal governance processes.
• Monitor security events, lead incident response, and investigate threats to minimise impact.
• Develop, enforce and communicate cybersecurity policies and deliver security awareness training.
• Identify vulnerabilities, manage patching processes and advise on secure infrastructure design.
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Prepare clear, actionable security reports for clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong background in cybersecurity with knowledge of Australian regulations.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security+.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex security issues to non‑technical audiences.
• Highly organized, meticulous and committed to staying updated on cybersecurity trends.
