Customer Support Officer – Port Macquarie

About the role

Join Hearing Australia as a Customer Support Officer and help improve the lives of Australians who need hearing care. This permanent, full‑time position offers hybrid working arrangements and the chance to support clients from diverse backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outbound service calls and handle inbound enquiries.
• Liaise extensively with clients, many of whom are elderly and from multicultural, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
• Use a computerised client database and electronic appointment booking system daily.
• Perform a variety of administration tasks, including data entry and records management.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service or a call centre (ideal but not essential).
• Experience with office administration tasks and enthusiasm to learn more about the business.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Confidence in using computers and learning new programs/applications.
