Customer Service Representative – Inbound Sales

About the role

Join IKEA’s Customer Service Centre in Tempe as an Inbound Customer Service Representative. You will deliver inspiring, seamless experiences across phone, web‑chat, email and live video while actively driving sales of home‑furnishing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality support on all remote channels, creating meaningful interactions and building trust in the IKEA brand.
• Understand customer needs and recommend relevant products, guiding them through the purchasing journey.
• Use effective remote‑selling techniques to upsell and cross‑sell, contributing to sales growth.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
• Continuously improve processes based on customer feedback and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
• Ability to work flexible hours between 8:00 am and 8:30 pm AEST, including weekdays and alternating weekends.
• Commitment to a permanent, part‑time schedule of 60 hours per fortnight.
• Enthusiasm for home‑furnishing products and IKEA’s values.

Required skills

• Proficiency in handling phone, web‑chat, email and live‑video communication tools.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate IKEA’s sales platforms.
