Customer Service Officer - Fyshwick

About the role

DPO is looking for a Customer Service Officer for its Fyshwick store in the ACT. The current officer has been promoted to a management role, so a new person is needed. The position is full time and suits a friendly, approachable person who takes pride in excellent service and works well as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and requests.
• Handle customer orders, including processing, tracking and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with the sales team to give accurate product information and pricing.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and resolve complaints quickly and effectively.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and industry trends.
• Help maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and liaising with the warehouse team.
• Contribute to sales targets and revenue goals.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Desirable but not essential: experience and knowledge of plasterboard and other building products.
• Proactive, customer-oriented approach with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
