Customer Service Officer (Contact Centre)

About the role

The City of Moreton Bay is recruiting a Customer Service Officer for its contact centre, a permanent, full-time position primarily based in Caboolture. You will give customers positive service experiences through quick, accurate responses to enquiries, issues, requests and applications made by phone, at the Customer Service Centres and electronically. Staff are rostered to work from the centres in Strathpine and Redcliffe as required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and appropriate responses to customer enquiries and issues
• Compile requests for action by Council departments, process applications and complete financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with Council and customer service policies, procedures and service standards
• Contribute to departmental procedures and advocate for the customer to support continual improvement
• Help develop the team's capability and capacity

Required profile

• Reliable, conscientious person who can think on their feet, learn quickly and use multiple systems easily
• High attention to detail, good communication skills and strong time management
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines in a structured environment
• Experience with complex information, problem-solving and conflict resolution; previous contact centre experience is desirable but not essential

What we offer

• Permanent or 12-month maximum term contract, full-time, with a 9-day fortnight after induction
• Shifts between 8.15am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with possible extra work during major events

• Commencement date of Monday 11 January 2027, salary of $79,779.27 pa plus 12% super
