Customer Experience Officer

About the role

The City of Perth is recruiting a Customer Experience Officer in its CBD location. The role sits at the heart of the Customer Experience Centre, engaging with residents, visitors, businesses and employees across phone, email, online and face-to-face channels to help them find solutions and access services. It is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for enquiries across phone, email, online and face-to-face channels.
• Help residents, visitors and businesses access City services and information.
• Manage competing priorities, enquiries and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Process bookings, payments and correspondence while keeping accurate records.
• Support wider City events, initiatives and the day-to-day operation of the Customer Experience Centre.
• Work collaboratively with a positive, high-performing team.

Required profile

• A passion for customer service and enjoyment of helping people find solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Organised, adaptable and professional when priorities change.
• Effective both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, friendly and customer-focused approach.
• Experience in local government or customer relationship management systems is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft 365.
• Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa).
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance dated within 3 months.

What we offer

• Salary of $75,360 to $81,263 per annum plus superannuation.
• Flexible rostered shifts across 7am-7pm operating hours, with occasional weekend overtime.
