Customer Banking Specialist - Swan Hill (15 hrs/week)

About the role

The Retail Bank is looking for a Customer Banking Specialist to join its Swan Hill branch on a part-time basis of 15 hours per week. Rosters are predetermined, and candidates must be available to cover Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The Retail Bank is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience to personal and small business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversations.
• Help customers use in-branch technology and digital banking options.
• Respond to customers' transactional needs in the branch so they leave satisfied.
• Interview customers and process applications for personal loans, credit cards and associated products.
• Follow bank processes and procedures, including accurate transaction reconciliation and review of customers' financial positions.
• Take part in community events and fundraising activities.
• Look after the safety and wellbeing of the team.
• Use tools to capture customer feedback and take action to fix service gaps.

Required profile

• Ability to ask the right questions, find the right solutions and act with integrity, placing the customer at the centre of everything.
• Passion for service excellence, able to work independently while referring customers to other specialists for complex needs.
• Ability to work in a busy, commercial and driven retail environment while seeing the big picture for customers.
• Genuine passion for the customer and for doing the right thing.
