Customer Banking Specialist - Cairns Branch

About the role

The Cairns branch of CommBank's Retail Banking Services (RBS) team is looking for a Customer Banking Specialist. As the public face of the bank, you will be the first point of contact for customers. The position is a permanent part-time relief role of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:15pm to 4:15pm, with predetermined rosters.

Key responsibilities

• Greet each customer and clearly understand their enquiry, guiding them to the appropriate channel
• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversation to enhance their experience
• Offer options by educating and demonstrating in-branch technology and digital banking options
• Keep track of movements within the branch so it runs effectively and efficiently and customers are satisfied

Required profile

• A proven track record of excellent customer service, ideally in financial services, retail or hospitality
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanour
• Ability to manage customer expectations
• Genuine interest in building a career with CommBank and improving customers' financial wellbeing
