Customer Banking Specialist - Atherton (Contract)

About the role

CommBank's Retail Banking Services team serves more than 10 million personal and small business customers across Australia. As the Customer Banking Specialist at the Atherton branch, you will be the public face of the bank and the first point of contact for customers. This is a contract part-time position of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm, running until March 2028. Rosters are predetermined, so availability must match the schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Greet each customer and clearly understand their enquiry, guiding them to the appropriate channel
• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversation to improve their experience
• Offer options by educating and demonstrating in-branch technology and digital banking options
• Keep track of activity in the branch so it runs smoothly and customers stay satisfied

Required profile

• A proven track record of excellent customer service, ideally in financial services, retail or hospitality
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanour
• Ability to manage customer expectations
