Crafts Volunteer - Woy Woy Residential Care

About the role

HammondCare Aged Care Home in Woy Woy is looking for a creative volunteer to share a love of arts and crafts with its residents. It is a hands-on role where volunteers help residents make their own pieces, from painting to paper craft, knitting to collage, using a wide range of materials and resources available on site. The role is part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, which links older people with volunteers in their local community.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents create their own artworks and crafts, such as painting, paper craft, knitting and collage.
• Visit residents regularly to bring them joy and help reduce feelings of isolation.
• Work within the one-hour-per-week or fortnight commitment.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
• Commitment of one hour per week or fortnight for a minimum of 6 months; a suitable day and time during the week (Monday to Sunday) can be agreed.
