About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for volunteers to spend time with elderly residents at its Woy Woy facility. You will play board games, cards or chess with residents, bringing fun, connection and friendly competition, which helps older people feel less isolated.

Key responsibilities

Play board games, cards or chess with elderly residents during visits
Provide companionship and mental stimulation to residents
Commit to regular visits of one hour per week or fortnight for a minimum of 6 months

Required profile

18 years or older
An NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
Able to meet an hour between 9:30-11:30 and 1-4pm, Monday to Sunday
