Course Coordinator - Social Work

About the role

Acknowledge Education, part of the UP Education group, is creating a new position for a Course Coordinator - Social Work at its Sydney campus (Oxford Street, Surry Hills). Reporting to the Head of Department, you will provide academic leadership and oversight of assigned Social Work courses, working with academic staff, students and stakeholders to support course quality, curriculum enhancement and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and oversight of Social Work courses
• Support and mentor academic staff in teaching, learning and assessment
• Monitor course delivery against curriculum, learning outcomes and academic standards
• Lead course review and curriculum enhancement activities
• Support assessment moderation and quality assurance
• Monitor student progression, retention and academic performance
• Help resolve academic matters in line with policy
• Contribute to academic governance, accreditation, audit and compliance
• Prepare reports for academic committees and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• Masters (AQF 9) qualification or higher in Social Work (PhD preferred)
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Experience in higher education course coordination, academic leadership or program management
• Knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework and TEQSA requirements
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
