The Country Head, Australia serves as State Street’s senior market‑facing leader, representing the firm in the Australian market and driving commercial outcomes across business lines. Reporting to the Head of Asia Pacific, this role unites local leadership, reinforces a “One State Street” mindset, and models the firm’s culture and values.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior representative to clients, prospects and strategic partners, leading the Australian and New Zealand client portfolio.
• Strengthen State Street’s market profile and brand presence through active engagement with external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business unit heads to identify cross‑business commercial opportunities and deliver integrated client solutions.
• Lead the Australia leadership team, fostering alignment, collaboration and a strong “One State Street” culture.
• Oversee regulatory responsibilities and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and fiduciary obligations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior executive leadership experience in a complex, highly regulated financial services organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of building trusted relationships with major institutional clients.
• Established credibility and market profile in Australia with executive presence to represent State Street to senior external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, aligning senior leaders around shared priorities and driving enterprise‑wide outcomes.
